Most of us want to keep our car in the best possible shape and love to see it sparkling as new for years after the purchase. If you love your vehicle so much, you have to ensure that your car is not only properly cared for through regular servicing but also gets a car wash at regular intervals.

With the right accessories and in some easy steps, you can give your vehicle the best car wash on your own. First, start with a brisk hose down of your vehicle to remove most of the dirt stuck to it. The next step is soaping the surface with a good brand of car wash shampoo.

You should never use any of the utensil cleaning products just because they are good with your utensils. They can be abrasive for the surface coating and hence, can steal the glimmer from your car and make it look old. There are several good car soaps available in the market, just make sure to pick a good quality one.

You must also make sure that your sponge is not worn out and dirty, as otherwise you might make the car look dirtier, rather than making it cleaner, by putting more dirt on it. Use micro fibre mitts to ensure you don’t take the gloss away with your vigorous rubbing.

Once you are done with the roof, you will have to repeat the process with the side surfaces, the rear of the car and the hood. When you have applied soap to every inch of your car to your satisfaction, take the hose again and remove all the shampoo from the surface of the vehicle thoroughly. However, your task is still not over as you have to do a final round of touching after the car wash.

Letting your car stand in the sun after a hose down will result in water marks to be left on the surface. Hence, you should use chamois leather to rub the body so as to get the perfect shine.

The end result of the whole process will be nothing less than a professional car wash and you are certain to be pleased with all your effort and labour.
